I don’t think it’s that complicated, although most people probably want it to be. If she’s attracted to him from the beginning, he can get away with saying almost anything. If she’s not attracted to him and he starts out friendly, he’ll fall into the “friend zone” and never escape — even when he tries to make it more sexual. Sorry to deflate some of the supposed intricacy of dating, but I think if an intimate relationship is possible, it’s decided in the first few seconds.

Sorry but I think it goes more like….
Single guy approaches female who appears friendly and receptive. But its the female who has initiated this, she sent him the friendly “approach me” signal and he obliged.
The rest is history.

You know how people standing in line start a convo, you use the same idea. I think the predator and prey idea is perfect. As a predator men approach in stealth. The prey is baited with good initial impression and her natural sexual hook points are stimulated. A good seduction is smooth, indirect and must always escalate to sexual matters or else it fails leaving the women unsatisfied and so annoyed.
Only experienced men know the subtle “approach me” cue women give out. Some 80% of men have no clue. I don’t wait for this cue, I approach and lay out my personality. She takes it or leave it, either way is fine with me, She doesn’t hook I move to the next prey.

uh… No. You are not right. Did you think this up on your own? I have plenty of male friends who have not changed their attitude to a “sexual attitude”.
I don’t buy that predator vs. prey crap, and the last two sentences are absurd.
“The woman is fascinated by the mans desire. So she then gives herself to him for the purpose of her mighty happiness.”
What?? Women don’t generally “give themselves” to men, at least not in 2008. I have also never been personally “fascinated” by a mans desire. If a guy is attracted to me then that’s what it is, it’s not a miracle of science.
Finally, being with a man does not create my “mighty happiness”. Weirdo….
